Find out what's going on at Redemption Lutheran Church
Thanksgiving Dinner Chruch
Join us this Sunday Nov. 18th at 11:00 a.m. for Thanksgiving Dinner Service. We will not have worship at 9:45 a.m. but will move it to 11 o’clock that way we can sit as a congregation and enjoy a thanksgiving feast. We ask that each parishioner bring a thanksgiving side dish or dessert. The church will provide turkey, gravy, stuffing, and drinks. We will have worship around our meal and all are welcome! Remember service starts at 11:00 a.m. not 9:45 on Sunday Nov. 18th
Redemption will host its annual Victorian Tea on Sunday Dec. 2nd from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. All are welcome to attend but space is limited so please contact the church office to reserve your spot. There is no cost for this event. If you wish to help host a table, which involves decorating your table as well as helping to provide snacks please also contact the church office as well. Our guest speaker will be the new Pastor at St. David’s Lutheran Church, Pastor Lauren Heywood. You can contact the church office at 215-342-2085. We hope you’ll join us and invite your friends.
Cub Scout Open House
Our Cub Scout troop will host an open house on Sunday November 25th from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Redemption Lutheran Church. If your boy or girl is interested in scouting be sure to come and join us to find out about the new pack 54 being founded at Redemption. You can drop in anytime to get more information about cub scouts and to sign up! We hope you will join us.
Are you our Missing Piece?
Every Sunday before and after service help Redemption meet it’s deficit match by purchasing a piece of our 100 piece puzzle. Each piece is 10 dollars and you can decorate it however you want with markers and stickers. The Puzzle will be framed and hung in the prayground area of the church. Each piece you buy enters you for a chance to win three fabulous prizes. If we sell all 100 pieces we are $1000 closer to our deficit match so please consider getting some pieces this month.
Learn about the Creeds
Did you know our church professes three creeds, the Apostles Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed. Come learn about all of them in our next class here at Redemption. Our seminarian, Ethan Doan, will lead us through one creed a week on Sunday Nov. 11, 18, and 25th after service. Be sure to stick around and hear about all the controversies, drama, heresies, and fights that ensued due to the creation of these central parts of our faith.
Augsburg Fortress Book Fair
In the back of the sanctuary you will see a fabulous spread of books from Augsburg Fortress, the lutheran publishing house. If you are looking for a good and interesting gift for Christmas look no further than some of these fascinating reads. Order forms are on the back table and the fair will go till the end of November. Books will be delivered in time for Christmas. Be sure to check it out. This is not a fundraiser, no proceeds from this sale go to the church.
